Biogram	Studia stomatologiczne ukończył w 1950 r. w Getyndze, jednocześnie uzyskał stopień doktora medycyny dentystycznej. Ukończył również studia medyczne i uzyskał w 1960 r. habilitację na Wydziale Lekarskim Uniwersytetu w Getyndze. Pracę zawodową rozpoczął w 1950 r. jako asystent w Katedrze Stomatologii Zachowawczej Uniwersytetu w Getyndze. Dwa lata później objął funkcję adiunkta Oddziału Chirurgicznego. Po uzyskaniu "venia legendi" objął funkcję kierownika Katedry Stomatologii Zachowawczej na Uniwersytecie Ludwika-Maksymiliana w Monachium. Jego badania naukowe dotyczyły radiologii stomatologicznej, chorób przyzębia i endodoncji, opracował również wskazania do wykonywania zdjęć rentgenowskich, omówił zagadnienie dawki promieni rtg oraz modyfikację projekcji w wykonywaniu zdjęć śródustnych. (Polish) Description in another language: He received his doctor of dental medicine degree in Göttingen in 1950. He graduated also from medical studies and in 1960 he got his habilitation at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Göttingen. From 1950 he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Conservative Dentistry at the University of Göttingen. Two years later he received the post of a lecturer at the Department of Surgery. After obtaining "venia legendi" he received chair at the Department of Conservative Dentistry at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. His scientific research concerned around dental radiology, periodontal diseases and endodontics, he also developed instructions for taking x-rays, discussed the issue of x-ray dose and projection modification in taking intraoral pictures.
